Emergency Dentistry
Camas, WA

Rendering of tooth on emergency kit in Camas, WA.Unfortunately, you never know when a dental emergency will occur, which means you could need an emergency dentist at any time of day. When you least expect it, a filling can come out or you can break a tooth. It is possible to end up with a severe toothache or something caught under the gums that begins to hurt. If you need an emergency dentist, Camas Dentistry offers the emergency dental care you require whenever you need it!

Tooth Extraction

There are two types of tooth extractions: simple and surgical. We perform a simple extraction on a tooth that has already erupted above the gumline. We perform a surgical extraction on a tooth that has become impacted, or has yet to erupt, such as wisdom teeth. Extraction may be necessary to prevent the spread of infection and other complications.

Root Canal

A root canal is a last-ditch effort to save a tooth from extraction. We may recommend a root canal if an infection has spread to the "pulpy" center of the tooth that contains nerve endings and other connective tissues. Once the infection has been removed, we fill the canals with a rubber-like material known as gutta-percha. A tooth that has received root canal treatment typically needs to be capped with a crown.

When to See an Emergency Dentist

When you have a dental emergency, you do not want to wait long or even at all to get the dental care that you need. In fact, in many cases, waiting will only make the problem get worse! Waiting to see a dentist will not only make the problem worse, it can end up costing you much more to fix the problem later if it is not addressed right away.

How do you know if you have a dental emergency and you need to see an emergency dentist? In most cases, dental pain is a sign that there is a problem that needs to be addressed immediately. Any severe pain should be treated quickly. Even if the pain goes away, the problem most likely may not be gone, so it is very important to get checked out whenever you experience dental pain.

There are many different types of dental emergencies. Some of the common ones include lost fillings, fractured tooth, a knocked out tooth, painful gums, or toothache. Any of these problems should be treated urgently and you should visit Camas Dentistry as soon as possible to have the problem addressed by Dr. Woyciehowsky and his staff.

Don't Let Embarrassment Get in the Way!

We are here to help, and we will make you feel comfortable and take care of your emergency without making you feel embarrassed or mistreated.
